Importance of Community: why it matters & what we need from it
If 2020 taught us nothing else, it taught us the importance of community relationships. We are hardwired for a sense of belonging and companionship. A yoga community, more specifically, can offer us shared values, positive energy, human connection, growth, learning, empathy, acceptance and a feeling of coming home. May's community circle will include facilitated dialogue around the concept of community, especially the community we are fostering at Tree Pose Yoga Studio. We will have some time in guided meditation and reflective journaling and end with some light-hearted group yoga poses (think a circle of connected tree poses)!
Friday, June 21st 6:30pm-8:00pm

Friday, August 16th 6:30pm-8:00pm
Yoga for All: What do we need from this practice as individuals & as a culture?
Its way more than a movement practice!

Finding the Present Moment & Increasing Positive Energy
Sunday, June 2nd 4:30pm-7:00pm
This event will feel like a mini retreat! Class will start with centering practices and a slow moving, feel good yoga class. There will be gentle movements matching with breath to awaken energy, and longer held yin poses to open the body.
We will then move into a meditation practice that involves focusing on the chakras and how to optimize the energy flow to each one. Within this visualization practice, we will find curiosity and playfulness as we create mandalas to represent our energy flow.
We will mindfully drink tea together, connect and reflect about what it feels like to be fully in the present moment, and end class with a gong bath. You will leave feeling blissed out, centered, and ready to enjoy the present moment.
Bring with you- water, black pen, and an (optional) journal
Cost- $64, Unlimited Members- $58

Reiki Experience Meditation
Friday, June 14th 6:15pm-7:00pm
In a Reiki Experience, you are guided into a meditation and drawn through an experience where you receive healing energy directly from source. This is not a hands on treatment- instead, the practitioner holds space while the Reiki energy surrounds you and works to heal specific issues. This is done while the students rest comfortably- typically laying down, but can be seated.
In the June event, we will go through an experience that removes negative energy.

By engaging all five of the senses with soft candlelight, soothing music, aromatherapy, lots of hands-on assists and a renewed awareness of taste (and sometimes chocolate!), Spa Yoga® aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom of deep relaxation. The physical practice takes time to open the body's subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in an extended, guided savasana. Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a Spa!

Candlelight Reiki & Restorative Yoga
In this class, you will be guided through a restorative yoga practice while receiving hands-on Reiki healing. We set a safe space for you to relax, let go, and heal.
Restorative yoga is all about rest and rejuvenation. Relaxing poses are held for 3-5 minutes each. These poses are done on the floor supported with props to provide optimal comfort. Breathwork and meditation are cued throughout class to enhance the practice and bring you to the present moment.
Reiki is an ancient form of healing that works to guide life force energy to heal the body, mind, and spirit. The practitioner lightly places hands over the client and works as a channel for this energy to flow. It activates the natural healing process and brings balance to the chakras. Reiki works to calm the mind, bring emotional balance, reduce stress, build confidence, improve sleep, aid digestion, ease tension, relax tight muscles, promote pain relief and so much more.
Victoria will guide restorative yoga, while Reiki Master, Ann Boisvert, provides hands on healing.

Mantra & Mala Meditation
In this class, we will briefly go over how to use a mala for meditation. We will then put this into practice as we sit together and chant a mantra. The mantra chosen for this practice will help us to 'go with the flow'.
Note- A mala is required for the full effect of this class! I have malas available for sale for $40 each or you can bring your own. You are also more than welcome to chant along and not use a mala if you prefer!

Yoga for Beginners Series
In this 4 class series, students will be gently guided through a slower paced class focusing on foundational yoga poses. Come learn in a safe and supportive environment, as you gain confidence to enter into our other yoga classes. There will be time set aside after class for any questions you may have. This class is specifically designed for those who are new to yoga, so there is no previous experience required.
This class will teach students the basic postures seen in most yoga classes, basic balancing poses, simply breathing techniques, and sun salutations. You will also learn how to modify poses to fit your body. Yoga is never about forcing your body into a pose. We believe yoga should involve listening to your body and finding the best way to practice that fits you. Students will leave this series feeling confident and supported in the start of their yoga journey.
